Women-owned Saint Louis brands launch national She Votes initiative

Collections by Joya, Golden Gems, Leisa Renae and 2Lu have joined forces to amplify women’s voices at the polls.

Sign Up. Show Up. Speak Up.  That is the message these local, women-owned businesses are promoting through the newly launched She Votes campaign. The women behind local favorites Golden Gems, Joya, and 2Lu, have joined forces in a movement to empower women’s voices at the polls. 

The She Votes initiative will provide resources and important information about the voting process, opportunities for people to register to vote throughout the Saint Louis area, and will assist voters with casting their ballots this November and beyond.

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote.  While not all women were given the opportunity to vote 100 years ago, the Suffragette movement did pave the way for equal voting rights for all. “With this year being the 100th anniversary of the Suffragette movement, we felt the timing was perfect to create a movement to really amplify women’s voices at the poll. Women are the majority in this country, and if we all exercise the right that so many trailblazing women fought so hard for, we can effect the change we wish to see in our world. There is still a lot of work to be done to ensure everyone’s voices are heard.”, said Betsy Blancett Nacrelli of Joya.  

In addition to building awareness and sharing resources, the founders of She Votes have designed a capsule collection of She Votes merchandise so women (and men) can amplify their voices through their personal style. The collection spans a wide breadth of categories- from t-shirts and hats, to jewelry, pennants and bumper stickers. Shop to purchase from the Collection!

“We created a unique and fashion-forward collection for folks to share their personal style and help promote the importance of everyone amplifying their voices at the polls this November.”   Proceeds from the sales of the collection will benefit three local Saint Louis non-profits.
